Report of the Chief

- Will be taking headshots of members to add to website. Billy Price will be taking them at the next few meetings
- Social Media Manager
- We can get points on ISO for community involvement
- Any photos need to be submitted to and approved by 1701/1702
- ISO standards
- Can no longer use business meetings for training hours
- Have a new meeting attendance record, independent of training hours
- Training hours can be creative, doesn’t have to be manual labor.
- Independent study counts, magazine articles, research projects.
- Would ask that you report back to the department on what you learned
- Check of a truck, familiarize yourself with the equipment
- Fill out a training record
- When training with the department, attendance record will be signed at the end of the training.
- Schools/seminars count, BLS training, forestry courses, etc
- Fire college
- Great turnout for volunteers and participants
- ~578 students, up from 420 last year
- 15 vendors, up from 9 last year

- Changes made to get 1776 in service
- 5” transferred to 1754 from 1763
- 2 ½” transferred from 1754 to 1763
- Dump tank from 1754 to 1763
- Pack hose bed on 1776
- Confirm all adaptor needed are on 1776
- Do a full checkoff on 1776 (fluids etc)
- If we can, wash 1763 before it goes to Watha station
- Training detail on 1776 if time permits
- A list of currently approved drivers for 1776 will be posted in the radio room

- OIC should be filling out reports, be sure you are doing so as soon as possible and get them in the computer
- Smoking not permitted in Department
- Cigarette butts have been found all over the department, in the bay, in the parking lot and even in a hard pack SCBA case
- Butts should be disposed of properly
- If improvements aren’t made in the next 6 weeks smoking may be banned on premises
- Department use for private parties/events
- Leave the dept cleaner than you found it
- Any items you bring with you need to be removed when you are done
- Take off your trash, clean the fridge etc.
